Cupcakes are a fun alternative to the traditional wedding cake. Cute and simple or elaborate works of art, everyone can agree they are tasty little indulgences. The question is- are they a cost saving alternative or a real budget buster? Like just about anything else to do with your wedding, that depends on the cupcake!
The first two are definitely a DIY option. You could make them mid-week and freeze them. That will make delivery and set up easier and if you wrap the boxes well with plastic wrap, the brief vacation to the freezer won’t diminish their quality. As a bonus, both of these come with instructions, just click through the images.

The next two may be DIY-able depending on your skill level. Tip: the sugar flowers can be made weeks ahead or you can buy them ready made. Same with the sugar pearls.
These are absolutely ones to leave to the pros! The price is not for the faint of heart, though.
